I have retained experience in deploying a large number of solar power installations in country Queensland as far back as 1985-90. The advances in communications electronics and solar panel technology (there were two Australian manufacturers then) made it possible to automate the telephone services in remote areas. I have some time, am reasonably knowledgeable, am currently planning to install a solar system for my own house, and motivated to press elected representatives to do the right thing!

(2) I want to help and encourage everyday Australians to have solar power with or without Government subsides.

A: I am 67 and while not retired i can make time to be involved as I am passionate about need to switch to renewable energy and will do anything I can to raise awareness of the need to do this to keep the planet livable.

A: While I don’t always have my own transport I have long (30+ years) been active in my community as a volunteer participant and on a wide range of project committees and not-for-profit management boards. I have no troubles in getting out in front of people and speaking on things I am passionate about. I no longer work so am available just about any day and many nights so long as there is public transport available to where I have to be.

5. My passion to see battery powered cars, charged from solar, become common city transportation.
