I have sold both Solar hot water and Solar PV.
I am now a solar business owner.

All started with my friends and relatives installed their first solar power systems. I was involved in all discussions leading up to and afterwards.

A: I have upgraded my PV system from 2KW to 5KW thus losing the earlier buy back subsidies so I know the shock of change that comes from acting ideologically. I have been involved, around the the edges, of the sustainability movement and Urban Ecology Australia, so have access to a network of interested people and experience and I am convinced that there are few other options available if we want to maintain our current lifestyles and energy consumption

Having done lots of community solar surveys for 100%.org in the last 2 years. Having done a lot of local campaigning in the Dandenongs since 2007. Having organised several community solar events locally.

That plus capacity is only limited by living in Emerald (1 1/2 hours travel by train from Melb CBD) Therefore time and location of meetings might be a limiting factor for me.

I live about two hours driving time from Melbourne . So that’s a bit negative . By trade , I am a water bore driller/motor mechanic , with a fair understanding of nature and geology . I also have a heavy combination drivers liscence with an up to date log book . So that’s positive .
