Sydney Public Meeting to Defend Solar

Do you have or love solar? Do you want to see a strong solar future for Australia?

Over 5 million Australians are living under a solar roof. By going solar, these families have taken power over their electricity bills while doing their part for the environment - and many more families want to do the same. But, this growth of solar is hurting the profits of big energy companies. These companies are making it harder for families to go solar and are in the ears of our politicians, telling them that solar is a problem. That's why our politicians keep changing solar policies - like slashing solar tariffs and trying to bring in a tax on the sun.

For the first time, large numbers of Solar Citizens will be coming together to hear from expert speakers, discuss the issues and prepare to act against the rapidly growing threats to solar.

The evening will include stories from solar owners, discussion of threats to solar, opportunities to take action and the launch of a campaign to keep solar strong. Guest speakers include:

NIGEL MORRIS

Nigel is director of Solar Business Services and a solar industry expert. He has almost 20 years of experience in the PV industry, including management and supply of literally hundreds of large and small scale solar projects around the country.

Lindsay is National Director and founder of Solar Citizens. She has extensive experience in advocacy and community campaigning.
