Millions of Australians are currently locked out of cheap, clean solar energy and are facing energy hardship as a result of rising inflation and cost of living. We are calling on the State and Federal Governments to deliver policies in the 2024-2025 budgets that directly address energy poverty, as well as programs and funding to provide Solar for All Australians.

Our 'Power Up Speakers Program' will raise the volume of grassroots voices in the communities most affected by unaffordable energy prices. This campaign enables residents locked out of the benefits of clean, cheap energy to share their stories and experiences with their local MPs and with the media - to help drive change. Over the coming months, Solar Citizens will be working alongside communities and local leaders, delivering a series of events, workshops and training sessions to help amplify their voices and raise the volume on the issues they're facing.
