The Federal Cheaper Home Batteries program offers up to a 30% discount for behind-the-meter batteries from 5 to 50kWh.

This will make battery storage affordable to up to 4 million solar households, and is an incentive for new households to install solar plus storage.

More households with solar and batteries, supplying energy to the grid, will shift us to a more distributed energy system and will mean households will play a significant role in ‘firming’ the grid.
