Australia should be leading the way on renewable energy. After all we’ve got more sunshine than practically anywhere else in the world, loads of coastline and let’s not forget wind. Plenty of that in WA!! Abbott too seems to be full of it (wind that is)…and it’s leading to Australia being made a laughing stock by the rest of the world (except Canada, whose government is also short sighted). Just check out the efforts being made by other (even ‘developing countries’).
Also and very importantly, Australia is one of the largest consumers of energy per capita!! Surely we can do better.

The slavishness of the Abbott LNP government is as obvious as the Newman LNP’s devotion to to their major supporters. Not only are our hip pockets going to pay, but also an innocent bystander, The Great Barrier Reef another legacy to future generations.

This should be a great attention grabbing tactic-hopefully some media will cover it.We will certainly spread it around the social networks.

Abbot is a dinosaur amongst his own peers and a Bad economist to boot! Can’t he see how renewable energy is a whole new industry? It might actually employ the thousands of unemployed whom he wants to send to the scrap heap!
