In the lead-up to the federal election, Solar Citizens ran a big, bold, colourful campaign.
With your support, our “Defend and Extend” campaign achieved monumental success, fending off the threat of nuclear energy and securing a major policy win: the $2.3 billion Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which is expected to result in subsidies of around $ 4,000 for a home battery system.
Rooftop solar still has huge untapped potential. We need one million household batteries by 2030, along with a renewed focus on solar for rentals, apartments, and social housing. The federal election result brings us one step closer to achieving this goal.
Thanks to your support, our community demonstrated the power of grassroots action and community-led solutions in driving real change - thank you so much!
