I am embarrassed to say I have to vote for either side in this NSW State election. I have already decided to reject any suppliers who rely on fossil fuels to supply my home, but why doesn’t anyone fully support a solar initiative? These men have the opportunity to represent the will and future of the Australian people, and I sincerely hope they will invest in us instead of corporate and mining interests; mine the eternal sunshine so freely available and spend OUR money where its most sorely needed – on education, health and the community.
Solar panels are a part of the solution to the effects of climate change and we need to take decisive action now. As a voter I would like to know what your climate change policies are and what role you see for solar panels and the solar power sector, as an area of growing employment as well.
The stunning new solar panel developments at the UNSW demand that political leaders commit themselves for 100% to solar energy. 270 days of sunshine in Australia on average must give us a massive advantage that’ll make the coal industry and, even, more the nuclear and nuclear waste options completely irrelevant.
