SA Energy Minister Dan van Holst Pellekaan has indicated that he plans to wave through the rule change allowing solar households to be slogged with charges for exporting their clean energy. But the fight isn't over. SA Greens MLC Robert Simms has introduced a motion in SA Parliament calling on the Government to block solar export charges and instead back smarter measures to support the growth of solar.

The motion is set to go to a vote this week and, with a state election looming, now is the time to turn up the heat on the Energy Minister to stand up for his solar constituents and stop the sun tax.
