The energy retailers in South Australia want to scrap the minimum price paid to solar owners for their surplus solar that goes into the grid. Unless we act now the Government will give into them.
At the moment, 6.8c/kWh is the minimum price retailers must pay to tens of thousands of solar owners not on the bonus scheme, a price that is already way too low. Now the Government may cave in and allow the price to drop to zero cents. That's right, zero. Zip. Zilch.
We don't have long to make sure the minimum feed-in tariff is kept. Can you write to the Commissioner urging that the minimum rate be retained and that it be set at a fair value by 7 September 2016?
