This election Solar Citizens is calling on all political parties and candidates to commit to 100% renewable electricity by 2030. And in the weeks leading up to polling day on July 2, we’ve been ramping up our campaign for 100% all across the country.
I'm coordinating the Solar Citizens election campaign effort in Tasmania. But this is definitely not a 1-person show. We're getting out on the street day after day with our amazing squads of election volunteers - getting the message out there, putting pressure on political candidates, and having a lot of fun along the way! Will you join us?
Do you have some time to spare to meet new people and make a difference? We're looking for people to join us for a few hours, a day or even more as an election volunteer in the Launceston area.
Fill out the form to sign up and get involved!
Our election volunteer squads have been joining us on stalls, talking with people, collecting petition signups, and getting our 'Vote 1 Solar' election signs out into the community.
Our love-able character 'Sunny' has also been out hounding political candidates and getting in front of the media - taking every opportunity to ask the candidates to commit to 100% by 2030.
Dressing up in a giant sun costume may not be every volunteer's cup of tea, but there are fun and important roles for everyone - from handing out flyers and election signs, to taking the all-important photos.
Can you help? Fill out the form to get involved as an election volunteer.
Looking forward to meeting you.
