We’re hosting a huge 100% Renewables Community Forum in Wentworth and we want you to be there!
Solar Citizens, the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, the Nature Conservation Council of NSW, Doctors for the Environment Australia, Lock the Gate, Australian Conservation Foundation, and GetUp! invite you to attend our 100% Renewables Community Forum. An orderly transition to 100% renewable electricity is not only 100% doable, it will mean a better, fairer and cheaper energy system for all Australians.
We'll have a stellar lineup of great speakers, including:
- Dr John Hewson, former leader of the Liberal Party, former Member for Wentworth and renewable energy champion.
- Nicky Ison and Miriam Lyons presenting GetUp! and Solar Citizen's Homegrown Power Plan, which shows how we can repower Australia's homes and businesses with 100% renewable power by 2030.
The local member for Wentworth, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, has been invited too. We’ve asked him, along with all candidates running for the seat, to come along and share their renewable energy policies with local community members.
Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30 start.
