Finally, someone thinking about our future, keep it up!

The Northern Rivers region has the highest uptake of rooftop solar in Australia. Our community is proud of this fact, so proud that our Lismore City Council has set a goal to be 100% solar and off-grid by 2023.

Our home has solar hot water, solar power, solar heating for the pool, insulation, rooftop whirlybirds and a rainwater tank. We try to leave a minimal footprint upon the resources of the planet. Happy to hear the new Premier, Mike Baird, supports RETs. Please urge the Federal Abbott-led Government to do the same.

We cannot afford the invasive gas industry ruining the precious water resources and farmland of our nation. Thank you.

Most of us want more solar and renewables instead of Its opponents,
Coal and Coal Seam Gas Mining, along with its dangerous Extraction methods
and huge carbon footprints!
We ALL need healthy soils and safe clean water, to merely survive!

Go The Renewable Energy Revolution!

I had solar panels installed at home and at work last year. At home the electricity consumption from the grid (and costs) went down 40%, at work it went down 50%.

The systems have a guaranty of efficiency (generate electricity as per specifications) for 25 years. As the systems returns on investment are only 4 to 5 years, we will have about 20 years of guaranteed savings and reduction of grid consumption. By then the renewable energy technology will be so advantage that the need for fossil fuel will be much less than it is today.

This is a much better and clever way to go, instead of spreading the unsafe and unneeded toxic Gasfields all over Australia.

Government doesn’t need to do much to do a lot and by keeping the Renewable Energy Target (RET), they are doing a lot. There is so many opportunities awaiting Australians with clean energy markets – just look at Germany, US, India, China. While Abbott is extreme with economic pragmatism, he has tipped the scales because he has not provided visionary leadership with clean energy markets as is happening globally. Unlike Abbott and Hockey, Mike Baird is doing a lot by showing visionary leadership to keep the RET. Keeping the RET will enable renewable energy markets such as solar to creates jobs, reduce fossil fuelled rocketing electricity bills, reduce greenhouse emissions and contribute to a healthier planet, and importantly, be responsible citizens to future generations. maybe, just maybe carbon pollution is starting to resonate with the pollies. For the sake of our grandchildren lets hope that is the case.
