The AEMC is still deciding on a rule change to allow networks to charge solar owners for exporting their cheap local power to the grid, and in early in 2021 our state governments will be pushing for a new tax on electric vehicle (EV) owners.

This summer, we need to make sure the community campaign to protect and grow clean energy can tackle these new challenges and stop these unfair charges. People who invest in clean technology shouldn’t be punished for doing the right thing. Taxing solar owners and EV owners doesn't recognise the economic and environmental contribution they make, and it will discourage others from making the switch.
