Rooftop solar is one of the fastest ways to put the benefits of the clean energy transition directly into people’s lives. It can cut household energy costs, strengthen energy security, reduce emissions, ease pressure on grids, create skilled local jobs and build public confidence in climate action. The world has already proved solar can scale. Now we must prove it can serve people.
The participants in the Global Rooftop Solar Declaration commit to work together to enable at least 300 million households worldwide to be powered by rooftop solar by 2030.
