Stop AGL's Solar Charge

AGL plans to charge up to an extra $434 for solar meters in the ACT and NSW from July 1. Not only is this unfair, but it will make it harder for those who want to go solar to do so. You can read the full story here.

Can you sign our petition now calling on Anthony Roberts, NSW Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy and ACT Minister Simon Corbell, Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development to stop this outrageous charge?

People who want to go solar should be congratulated, not hit with an unwarranted, high-cost barrier.

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned by the moves of ACTEW AGL to charge up to an extra $434 for the installation of solar compatible, import export meters.

Australians love their solar power and around Australia more than 3000 people each month make the decision to go solar. The extra charge imposed by AGL will make it much harder for thousands of families in NSW and the ACT to go solar.

We call on Minister Roberts and Minister Corbell to intervene and put a stop to these outrageous charges.
