This Spring it's Time to Shine. Solar Citizens around Australia are meeting with their local federal MPs to ask them to Keep Solar Strong. With the government expected to make a final decision on the fate of the Renewable Energy Target in the next couple of weeks it’s crucial that we meet our local MPs and tell them we want them to protect the Target!
We've delivered petitions, sent hand-written letters, emailed and called their offices - and they're taking notice. Now it's time to meet with your local federal MP to find out where they stand on solar and the Renewable Energy Target? Fill in the form below right now and we will send you our step-by-step guide and all the resources you need to set up and take part in a successful meeting with your MP.

Here in Tasmania the power company has already, rearanged business in such a way that people like me with home solar, will soon be charged for our own power. Instead of charging for only the power they will charge us for the use of the network as well! It was pretty obvious what they were doing, particularly Tas being mostly Hydro and the Govt using the Carbon Tax line for increasing power charges, which I may add have not come down!
Truth being that the power company was not getting enough profit because of the high solar uptake in Tasmania.
So truth is that being a Pensioner I cannot afford to drive to Hobart for the event I am sorry!
Bridget McKenzie Nationals VIC Senator based in Bendigo has not even been courteous enough to reply, even to say “f-off”. I note she has never been a farmer or business owner, has spent her life as a school teacher and university lecturer therefore has never created a single job let alone ever put even her beer money at risk in a real life gamble. She is a typical career politician and like a reed, probably bends with whatever wind best suits her own circumstances. Well Bridget, please report back when you’ve run a successful chook raffle that hasn’t commenced with losing the chook. And please get some manners – my grandmother, a McEachern, said good breeding always shines through….
