The Queensland state government is acting in the interests of big energy companies and selling solar owners short. It needs to stop. Now.
Just before Christmas, the government released its response to the Queensland Productivity Commission's (QPC) report into solar feed-in pricing, accepting the QPC's recommendations not to raise or regulate the price for solar.
Currently, Queensland solar owners are not receiving a fair price for the solar energy they export to the grid. The government should be working to redress this imbalance, instead they've left the floodgates open for retailers to pay as little as they like for the solar energy Queenslanders produce on their rooftops.
It's not good enough. Can you email Energy Minister Mark Bailey and tell him Queensland needs a fair price for solar?
