With the introduction of the New Vehicle Efficiency Standards (NVES), the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) in Australia will increase dramatically in the next few years. 

With Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, there is an opportunity for EVs to support the grid and reduce energy bills for all consumers – for EVs to also be ‘batteries on wheels’. 

However, most electric vehicles being brought into Australia are not V2G-enabled. This requires an additional on- or off-board power converter to change DC energy to AC energy.

Solar Citizens are on the case! We have recently commissioned experts to do a deep dive into what's required for maximising this new technology and removing barriers to electric vehicle-to-grid technology.
