Its been an incredible year of organising and campaigning, and we have achieved so much together. Solar Citizens has grown immensely, with now over 60,000 supporters and a network of volunteers and state teams across the country. We think it’s high time that we all come together to take stock, share learnings, build our skills, and develop our shared vision for Solar Citizens going into 2015.

This national retreat will bring together Solar Citizens volunteer leaders from around the country for an incredible series of community organising and campaigning skills workshops, speakers and strategy sessions. It will also include a fun action and lobby day at Parliament House as a finale for the 'Time to Shine' campaign.

The benefits of a national training retreat like this are always huge and surprising, particularly in the way it builds up leaders. It's an opportunity to connect and collaborate with other committed and skilled volunteers from around the country, and a great opportunity to get trained in skills and knowledge that you can then take back to your community. It’s an opportunity not to be missed.

Dates
From Friday evening 28th November, until 5pm Monday 1st December in Canberra.

What's included
3 nights accommodation (Friday to Monday), a series of incredible skills workshops and training sessions, food for breakfasts, lunches and snacks on Saturday and Sunday, and transport between the accommodation and Parliament House. Some airport pickups and dropoffs can also be arranged.

If possible, attendees will make their own way to Canberra, though scholarships are available to help cover travel costs.
