The Homegrown Power Plan is a joint project between Solar Citizens and GetUp!. It shows how we can repower the country with 100% renewable electricity by 2030. How? By rebooting our failing electricity system, removing the roadblocks holding us back, and investing in the renewables boom.

The plan also includes modelling conducted by researchers at the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) which shows Australia could repower all homes and businesses with 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030.

In addition the transition to a completely renewable energy system would deliver an average of up to $20 billion in fuel cost savings every year between now and 2050.

A move to 100% renewable power is practical, achievable, economically sound and overwhelmingly popular.
