Things are heating up! Premier Newman is set to release his “plan” for solar in the next couple of weeks - but he still hasn't shared any details. What we do know is that Premier Newman has been looking for ways to claw back costs on over-investment in poles and wires - and he’s been looking to target solar owners.

300,000 Queensland households and small businesses have invested over $2.2 billion in solar power to manage energy costs and take control of their energy production. We need to make sure that the “plan” Newman creates matches ours — a plan for a fair go for solar, with no penalties on solar users simply for doing the right thing.

And early July Cabinet meeting is where the ‘plan’ will be decided. We need to keep pressure on the Premier before this meeting, and placing the below advertisement in the Courier Mail - where we know Mr Newman will see it - is one of the best ways we can do this.
